Here's the story I wrote when I convinced @mike to quit his job and join socra:
Meet Mike Morton. He's not only incredibly intelligent, but he also has a knack for excelling in everything he does—academics, sports, work, investments, developing software, communicating, cup stacking, solving Rubik's cubes, and even building paper airplanes.
I am writing this update to share that Mike Morton will be joining me at socra. Yesterday, Mike wrapped up his final day at Apple, and I am excited to see his laser focus elevate our progress to new heights.
Many of you may be wondering why Mike would leave a successful and high-paying job at a prestigious tech company like Apple to build socra. The answer is simple: Mike is crazy. And I mean that in the best way possible. As Steve Jobs once said,
> "Here’s to the crazy ones [...] They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."
> Mike is one of those crazy ones. He is driven by a passion to improve people's lives, and he envisions that opportunity in socra. He is taking a significant risk, especially during a recession, but his passion for our mission is undeniable. I know he will build an exceptional product that has been missing in our lives.
Mike is a young, ambitious individual who has always been driven to make a difference in the world. After graduating with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a perfect 4.0 GPA, Mike began his career as a Test/Validation Engineer at Texas Instruments, where he gained valuable experience developing complex test solutions for high-volume custom chips. He then transitioned to a Silicon Validation Engineer role at Apple, where he worked on Apple’s next-generation processors and developed automation solutions in Python.
I am also excited to see Mike’s passion for fitness incorporated into socra. As an athlete, he understands the importance of hard work and dedication to achieve a goal, and that is exactly what socra is all about: helping people stay dedicated, improve their abilities, and achieve anything they desire.
In these uncertain times, we truly believe that the world needs socra more than ever. Our platform will empower individuals to pursue their passions and navigate their day-to-day lives with purpose and motivation.
🚀 We are dedicated to working tirelessly to make this happen, and we would be honored to have you join us on this journey.
