Users need a clearer way to focus on Socras that require their direct attention while still maintaining awareness of overall space activities.
**Problems**
- Central inbox displaying everything across all spaces, by all users (confusing, overwhelming)
- No way to know what I have to do without applying filters (unintuitive, bad UX)
- Displaying only things that have chippies in the inbox leads to blindness regarding other activities across all spaces that I'm a member of.
**Proposed Solution**
Create three distinct tabs:
1. **Inbox tab**
- Shows only Socras requiring the user's direct action
- Set assignee default to be the user
- Displays only Socras with chippies (to-do, review, due date, etc.)
2. **All Tab**
- Chronological stream of all workspace updates
- Includes all Socras
- Can be filtered by space
3. **Assigned Tab**
- Shows Socras assigned to me.On January 20, 2025, Eduarda Ferreira initiated a Socra titled "Focused Inbox" to address user experience issues surrounding task management and communication tools within the workspace. Users reported feeling overwhelmed by a central inbox that displayed all Socras without distinction, making it difficult to identify which tasks required their immediate attention.
The proposed solution involved creating a more organized system with three distinct tabs to enhance productivity and filtering capabilities:
1. **Inbox Tab**: This would show only the Socras requiring the user's direct action, with the assignee default set to the user. It would only display Socras marked with chippies (indicating tasks like to-do, review, or due dates).
2. **All Tab**: A chronological stream of all workspace updates, allowing users to view every Socra while also providing filtering options by space.
3. **Assigned Tab**: This would specifically showcase only the Socras that are assigned to the user.
Through these workspace updates, the aim was to improve user experience and streamline task management, ensuring users could focus on their action items without losing sight of overall activities.By Eduarda Ferreira
