See the attached images for the new UI for the Socra. This redesign aims to enable **progressive discovery** and eliminate user overload. The updated interface now includes features such as **task assignment**, **status tracking**, **priority settings**, and **due dates**, all enhancing overall usability and organization within the Socra framework.
The UI will be **collapsed by default** if the Socra has no content, presenting a lightweight interface for new creations. Conversely, it will be **expanded by default** if content exists, providing access to the full set of tools needed for active work. If a user clears all content, the Socra will revert to a collapsed state, maintaining a clean workspace without manual overrides. Furthermore, all Socras are saved automatically, with version history available, ensuring no drafts are necessary.
The input area now features a placeholder that reads **"What do you want to achieve?"** to clarify that users can enter their content directly in that space. To enhance usability, a **blinking cursor** will indicate that this is an area where users can write. On January 30, 2025, Eduarda Ferreira initiated the Socra titled "New socra progressive discovery," focusing on a comprehensive **UI redesign** aimed at fostering **progressive discovery** while minimizing **user overload**. The updated interface introduced essential features such as **task assignment**, **status tracking**, **priority settings**, and **due dates**, significantly enhancing **usability** and **workspace management**.
The new design automatically adjusts; it defaults to a **collapsed** view when there’s no content, creating a streamlined interface for new users. In contrast, if content exists, the UI expands to showcase all necessary tools for ongoing tasks. Users benefit from automatic saving and version history, eliminating the need for manual drafts. Additionally, a new input area includes a placeholder stating, **"What do you want to achieve?"** with a **blinking cursor** to guide users in entering their goals directly.
This Socra aims to create a more efficient and user-friendly experience, ensuring that all tasks are well-organized and manageable.By Eduarda Ferreira
