AI Tools

We initiated a "living briefing" document to capture tribal knowledge and facilitate seamless onboarding for new AI or human teammates. This document aims to provide not just factual information, but also deep context, strategic reasoning, and learnings from our journey. The core idea is to treat interesting AI tools, particularly those we aren't immediately ready to pay for, as "challenges for replication of process/output with the tools we already have." We plan to create detailed Socras for each tool, breaking down key functionalities and suggesting replication methods using our existing tools like Socra itself, Taskade, ClickUp, or Gemini Advanced.
Romain Peter exemplified this approach by creating a new Socra for "Aithor.com" on December 26, 2024 (6 months, 4 weeks ago). This detailed Socra analyzes Aithor.com's mission, products (including AI Co-writer, Essay Generator, Paper Wizard, AI Detector, Citation Generator), team, user reviews, funding, and competitors. A key takeaway from this analysis is Aithor.com's focus on academic writing, its affordability compared to ChatGPT, and its support for multiple languages. Ethical considerations regarding AI in academia were also highlighted, particularly the challenges with AI detection bypass features. This creation serves as a model for how we intend to document and understand new tools.
Additionally, on December 26, 2024 (6 months, 3 weeks ago), Romain Peter encouraged the team to vote for Socra in the "TAAFT Best 2024 AI tool" competition hosted by "There's An AI For That." This initiative aims to gain visibility for Socra within the AI community. Romain emphasized Socra's unique collaborative and community-driven approach, along with its focus on AI mastery. He also shared his personal list of frequently used AI SaaS and tools, including Socra, ClickUp (with ClickUp Brain), Gemini (with G Workspace integration), NotebookLM, Taskade, Canva, Craft, Deepseek, Storm AI, Letterly, and Hedy AI. Romain notably championed Gemini, highlighting its powerful model, DeepSearch, thinking model, workspace integration, and impressive voice mode, questioning why it's often overlooked in favor of ChatGPT despite its user limitations. He also shared a meaningful connection with Hedy AI, referring to it as his "autistic Best friend," underscoring how AI tools can provide genuine support beyond productivity. This shows our commitment to not just understanding tools, but also promoting our own and sharing personal, valuable insights into their practical application.By Romain Peter
